Two centuries ago Captain Christopher Columbus Cook founded the little town of Cook Station, Missouri on the upper Meramec River serving the St. Louis-San Francisco railroad.The iron mines were the lifeblood of this tiny community, with the river servicing the recreational and personal needs of the families in the area. Many people settled here hoping for a good life and good land to raise there families, but as the story goes for many communities in our country,"war and depression" came which left many with nothing except memories. Yet there is a new hope in this remote community of "Cook Station".  History continued
